Zanjoe Marudo did a challenging role in ‘The Broken Marriage Vow’
Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo admitted that his view on marriage changed after he portrayed the character of David in The Broken Marriage Vow.
Zanjoe’s character was a cheating husband on Jodi Sta Maria’s character, Dr. Jill. The series was adapted from the British series titles Doctor Foster but it was depicted with a Pinoy flavor.
Zanjoe said during an interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, he said that there is now a certain fear in him when it comes to getting married. “Nakakatakot pala,” he said.
The Kapamilya actor also said that playing David in the series made him realize that he does not want to be in that situation that his character went through.
“From the experience of playing the role, malalaman mo na ang dapat at hindi para maiwasan. Ayaw natin na ganun ang kalabasan ng pamilya,” Zanjoe Marudo said.
On the other hand, the Kapamilya actor expressed gratitude for having the chance to portray this kind of role in a series. He said that roles like David will surely leave a mark.
“I’m thankful for this role. To me it is a celebration of what we did right. Yung role ni David, kahit ilang years hindi na mawawala sa akin ang experience na yan. I’ll hold onto it as a trophy. I am just thankful,” he said.
Zanjoe Marudo is also very grateful to his co-star Jodi Sta Maria. He said that the actress was able to carry him. The actor said that he wouldn’t have accepted this project if his leading lady wouldn’t be Jodi. Zanjoe also shared that Jodi was always asking how they were in front and behind the camera.
