The horrifying video footage of a Ceres bus that accidentally rammed into the passenger area goes viral online.
On Tuesday (July 6, 2022), the video footage of a Ceres Bus that rammed into the passenger area at the Ceres Bus Terminal in Dumaguete City immediately spread like a wildfire online and elicits comments from the netizens.
In the video, it can be seen that the passengers were patiently waiting for available bus at the lounge. A Ceres bus that was supposed to load passengers accidentally rammed the passengers in the waiting area.
The bus run over some passengers resulting into a tragedy and intense commotion in the area. Some commuters and Ceres employees immediately intervened to help the poor victims.
There were ndividuals who were trapped under the bus, while several children were also injured due to the incident, according to the reports.
According to Vallacar Transit Inc. (VTI) media and legal officer Jade Seballos, four wounded persons have been rushed to the hospital. Two of them have been admitted while the remaining others have been discharged.
The authorities will continue to conduct further investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
A netizen named Daisy Marey Esnardo Pepito reposted the video and captioned it:
“In my humble opinion, Ceres liner’s Company should answer this. Not the driver himself or the bus itself if there was no failure of engine. If they are given the benefit they want and the rest they need, do you think this would happen? We have to be realistic and observative. Stop ranting and say “E DRUG TEST”, do you think it’s easy to be a driver? Taking risk everyday just to take you in your destination.”
