Bongbong Marcos Receives Message and Prayers From Pope Francis

President-elect Bongbong Marcos receives a message from Pope as his inauguration nears.

BONGBONG MARCOS – Pope Francis sends assurance to President-elect Bongbong Marcos that he will pray for him as he becomes the country’s next leader.

The inauguration of president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as the 17th president of the Philippines will be on June 30. It will happen at the National Museum in Manila and his camp reveals that it will be a solemn, simple, and traditional event.

Toni Gonzaga, an active personality during his campaign, will be the one to sing the national anthem of his inauguration while her husband Paul Soriano is the creative consultant for this event. Gonzaga assured them that she will help them in any way and capacity.

She will also be forever grateful and honored to be part of this “historic event” and this “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.

And also sending a message of prayers for the president-elect is Pope Francis. The Pope sent his “congratulations and cordial wishes” to his Excellency being the mandated next president of the Republic of the Philippines.

He added as per a report from Radyo Inquirer, “I’m assuring you of my prayers that you will be sustained in wisdom and strength. I invoke Almighty God’s blessings of peace and prosperity upon the nation.”

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Wednesday that a “corresponding police response” will be placed for the protesters during the inauguration. They can accordingly stay at four designated freedom parks in Manila City, namely: Liwasang Bonifacio, Plaza Miranda, Plaza Moriones, and Plaza Dilaw. 

These are the only areas where they can hold their rallies and protests. PNP’s director for operations M/Gen. Valeriano de Leon expressed that the world will be watching and they want to make sure to showcase orderliness and discipline.
