Sharon Cuneta shared this post about being between two political opponents
Megastar Sharon Cuneta reacted to the Vice Presidential bid of her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan and Senate President Tito Sotto, who is the husband of her aunt Helen Gamboa.
Sotto is the running mate of fellow Senator Ping Lacson while Pangilinan is the Vice President of incumbent VP Leni Robredo. Previously, actress Ciara Sotto, the daughter of the Senate President shared that she felt “hurt” and “disappointed” because her father and the husband of her cousin Sharon Cuneta, who is very close to her family, are vying for the same position.
“It made me feel that my parents were of no value after all,” she said as Sharon is being treated as a daughter by Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa. In a recent Instagram post, Sharon Cuneta also expressed that she is heartbroken by this.
“I come home with a happy, but heavy heart. Two men I greatly love – one whom I have known since birth, and the other, one I exchanged solemn vows with twenty-five years ago, are about to vie for the second highest position in the country,” the Megastar wrote.
Being in this situation, Sharon said, “I do not know what I could have done so wrong to find myself in the midst of two rocks.” She just hopes that when the game of politics is finally over, all wounds will be healed. The actress-singer is also hopeful that the relationship within the family that is filled with love will be restored like nothing bad ever happened.
Although she is not mainly who is in the political arena, she said that it is more painful for those who are in the periphery. Sharon Cuneta said that she is praying for this and asked her social media followers to pray for them, as well.
