Darryl Yap reacted to this decision of the Quezon City Council
The Quezon City Council declared director-writer Darryl Yap “persona non grata” and here is the reaction of the man behind Vincentiments’s videos to this.
Based on reports, the QC council approved the resolution filed by District IV Councilor Ivy Lagman. In the resolution, it was said that Direk Darryl and Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas were accused of disrespecting the city’s official seal.
On Vincentiments’s social media sites, a video was posted showing the triangular seal of Quezon City and on the side, “BBM” and ”SARA” were written.
It was a satire video featuring Ligaya Delmonte portrayed by the Kapuso comedienne. Ai-Ai delas Alas and Darryl Yap supported the candidacy of Mike Defensor, the opponent of Mayor-elect Joy Belmonte.
In line with this issue, Direk Darryl shared his reaction through his Facebook post. The controversial director said that he will not ignore this issue even though “personaa non grata” declaration is just a resolution and not an ordinance.
Then, he said that the public should wait for his answer to this through a series of videos that will be posted on social media sites of Vincentiments. “Kasalukuyan pa po kaming nag-iisip ng mababaw na pamagat,” the director-writer quipped.
Meanwhile, Darryl Yap is set to do a movie that will tell “the last 72 hours of the Marcoses in Malacanang.” The movie project is titled Maid In Malacanang. The actress who will portray the family’s matriarch Imelda Marcos was already revealed. This opportunity was given to former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez who expressed delight in this upcoming project. As of this writing, Direk Darryl has not shared further details yet about this movie project under Viva Films.
