Director-writer Darryl Yap said that UniTeam presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos is “KJ” or “killjoy” because of this.
Direk Darryl has created ‘Kape Chronicles’, ‘The Exorcism of Lenlen Rose’, ‘Baby M’, and ‘Mosang series’ on Vincentiments social media platforms amid the election season.
These series have featured political satire content. In a previous interview, the controversial director mentioned that at first, the camp of BBM was hesitant about the theme of the political videos that he intended to do for his campaign.
Eventually, he was able to convince the older sister of BBM, Senator Imee Marcos, who is also one of the actresses in the Len-len series.
In a recent post of Darryl Yap on his Facebook Page, he shared the official statement of former Senator Bongbong Marcos encouraging his supporters “to exercise restraint, especially when faced by supporters from rival candidates.”
“Understand as well that there will be selfish interests who might agitate us in the hopes of fomenting violence or instability. We must resist such agitation, resist mistaking election rhetoric for personal attacks. They are temporary and we will be alright,” the statement added.
When Direk Darryl shared this statement of BBM from the Facebook Page of For the Motherland – Sass Rogando Sasot”, a known UniTeam supporter also, his caption mentioned the official Facebook Page of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, the running mate of Bongbong Marcos.
“Mayor Inday Sara Duterte di ba pwede pa mang-asar? KJ kamo si #BBM!” the controversial director said.
