BBC Exec reacts to the success of Broken Marriage Vow. Here’s what the exec said.
BROKEN MARRIAGE VOW – SVP of Format Sales for BBC Studios André Renaud praises the PH adaptation of Doctor Foster.
BBC Studios hit psychological drama Doctor Foster has had several adaptations in various countries and among the newest ones to have a remake is the Philippines. Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta. Maria is the one who played the empowered, brilliant, subdued, and sophisticated character of Dr. Gemma Foster or Dra. Jill Ilustre in the PH series.
Dr. Foster is an original drama of BBC Studios which was a big hit. The South Korean remake called The World of a Married Couple was actually record-breaking. In the PH, the other actors playing the lead roles are Zanjoe Marudo as David Ilustre while the mistress role was given to Sue Ramirez as Lexy Lucero and the son is Zaijian Jaranilla
And now, with three weeks left before the TBMV ends, SVP of Format Sales for BBC Studios André Renaud commented and praised the PH series. He praised the whole production as to how the story was told and presented in a very Filipino way.
“It’s been a pleasure to see the development of Drama Republic’s ‘Doctor Foster’ from Mike Bartlett’s brilliant original concept into the exciting story of ‘The Broken Marriage Vow’ that ABS-CBN Entertainment has brought to the Filipino audience,” he remarked during the final media conference of the show.
He thanked the people behind the series and all the people and viewers following the story. He also sent his best wishes to the entire cast.
“I send my best wishes to the entire cast, effortlessly led by Jodi Sta. Maria, Zanjoe Marudo, and Sue Ramirez, the crew, the writers, producers, and the executives at ABS-CBN, Mr. Carlo Katigbak, Mrs. Cory Vidanes, Lauren Dyogi, and countless others for their support on this project from the beginning,” he said.
