LTO Identifies Reckless SUV Driver Who Rammed Poor Security Guard

The Land Transportation Office has already identified the reckless SUV driver who rammed a poor security guard in Mandaluyong City.

Earlier, the video footage of a SUV driver who rammed a poor security guard while mandating the traffic Megamall between Julio Vargas Avenue and St. Francis Street in Mandaluyong City goes viral online.

The victim identified as Christian Joseph Floralde apprehended a white SUV but the driver rammed him for an unknown reason. Floralde suffered serious injuries and currently recuperating at the hospital.

On Monday morning (June 6, 2022), LTO- National Capital Region issued a show cause order against the SUV driver who rammed the helpless security personnel. The suspect is ordered to show during the hearing scheduled on Tuesday (June 7).

LTO-NCR Regional Director Atty. Clarence Guinto scheduled the hearing. He is hoping that the suspect would appear at the hearing. Guinto refused to name the suspect citing the Data Privacy law.

“We scheduled the hearing this week and hopefully the driver and the owner would appear in the hearing. We are, of course, observing due process, ‘yung notice of hearing,” Guinto said.

Guinto confirmed that the suspect is a Filipino and the agency will determine whether the driver was also the owner of the vehicle. He also expressed his gratitude towards the netizen who posted the video.

“May isang high resolution video cam na na-identify ‘yung plate number so we were able to get the details in our system ng kung sino ang may-ari ng motor vehicle na ‘yun,” Guinto added.

The LTO official said that the suspect may face revocation of the driver’s license.
