Imee Marcos wants to share their side of the story
Senator Imee Marcos has spoken about the viral Len-len videos that were directed by controversial director-writer Darryl Yap.
On Vincentiments’s social media sites, the series of videos caught the attention of many netizens amid the election season. These videos garnered polarizing reactions. Sen. Imee was one of the cast members.
In a recent interview on ABS-CBN News Channel’s Headstart, the sister of President-elect Bongbong Marcos said that doing the Len-len videos was her way of answering issues. “I just couldn’t let it go. I would need to answer issues because a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth and that’s a dangerous proceeding,” Sen. Imee said.
She also said that it is part of the political culture of Filipinos to have satire. “You make fun, you take it in jest, it’s important that issues are ventilated and make known and 80.7 million agreed. Ang dami-daming nanood so that was great fun,” the lawmaker stressed.
Meanwhile, the sister of BBM said that she will continue to work with the new administration to address the concerns of the poor. She said that she is very aggressive in doing ways to mitigate or even end poverty in the country.
“It’s ambitious in these times but I’m one of those people who believe extreme hunger and poverty can be ended in our lifetime,” Sen. Imee Marcos said. She stressed that she will not give up because she knows 31 million Filipinos are backing her up. It is the number of votes that her brother received in the 2022 elections. The Senator said that these 31 million people believe the same thing that she believes.
