Bongbong Marcos Camp Reacts to Leni Robredo’s Plan to Launch ‘Angat Buhay’ NGO

BONGBONG MARCOS – The camp of the presumptive president reacted to the plan of Vice President Leni Robredo to launch “Angat Buhay” as a non-government agency.

Last May 9, millions of Filipinos headed to their designated voting precincts to cast their vote in May 2022 Elections. Ten candidates vied for the presidency while there were 9 candidates for the vice-presidential election. A senatorial election was also held with 63 candidates vying for a seat in the Senate.

Shortly after most of the voting precincts closed last May 9, partial and unofficial results were made available. The frontrunner of the presidential race is former Senator Bongbong Marcos who has over 16 million lead against the votes for his closest rival, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo.

The camp of Marcos Jr. already announced victory after 98% of the votes has been canvassed. The UniTeam supporters rejoiced over the results of the May 2022 Elections.

On the other side, the supporters of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo grieved over the results. Meanwhile, the grief was abruptly exchanged with a new light of hope after the Vice President announced her target to make Angat Buhay, the center of her presidential campaign, a non-government organization.

Vice Pres. Robredo told the supporters and volunteers of the pink movement that the launching of Angat Buhay will be in July. She will step down as the country’s vice president this June 30, the end of her term. Many Kakampink supporters pledged their support for the Angat Buhay NGO and wanted to be part of the organization.

When asked about the side of the camp of presumptive president Bongbong Marcos regarding the plan of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo to launch Angat Buhay NGO, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Marcos Jr.’s spokesperson Atty. Vic Rodriguez stressed that it is the right of everyone to organize and do what they intend to do as long as they exercise their rights within the bounds of the law. He stressed that the liberty of every person is coupled with responsibilities.
