PAGASA Says ITCZ & Easterlies Will Affect PH Weather
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that fair weather condition with chances of rains over some parts of the country.
On Tuesday (May 10, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will be affecting Mindanao while the Easterlies will be affecting the rest of the country.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
The easterlies / localized thunderstorms will bring the same weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“Ang Luzon ay makakaranas pa rin ng maganda at maaliwalas na panahon maliban sa mga biglaang buhos ng ulan dahil sa thunderstorm,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
The ITCZ will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and Central Visayas and Mindanao.
“Sa Visayas, fair weather po tayo kung saan bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang kalangitan maliban sa mga isolated na pag-ulan kadalasan sa hapon o gabi,” Aurelio added.
The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
