Rep. Claudine Bautista mentioned Enchong Dee during a campaign rally
Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) PartyList Representative Claudine Bautista-Lim claimed that Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee said that he is ready to do anything to have her forgiveness.
To recall, the issue between Enchong and Bautista-Lim started when the actor shared a now-deleted tweet attacking the “lavish” wedding of the congresswoman on Balesin Island.
Enchong was not the only celebrity who commented against the wedding of the Representative. Comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, Kapuso comedienne Pokwang, and singer-actress Agot Isidro also criticized the lawmaker.
Because of this, Bautista-Lim filed cyber libel complaints against the said celebrities but the complaint against Enchong Dee was the only one that made a progress. In her complaint, the Representative was demanding him to pay P1 billion for damages. A warrant of arrest was served against him and reportedly, Enchong posted bail.
In a recent campaign rally in Davao City, Rep. Bautista-Lim mentioned the actor while having her speech, based on the article in PEP. In Cebuano, the lawmaker revealed that the actor reached out to her after he received bashing online because of his remark against her Balesin wedding.
Bautista-Lim also claimed that the actor said that he will do anything in order to be forgiven. Then, the lawmaker asked the rally attendees, “Gusto n’yo ba pasayawin natin siya dito [Davao stage]?” The crowd shouted “dili” or “hindi.”
“Ayaw niyo? Ayaw ninyong patawarin? Kayo ang nagsabi niyan, ha?” the Dumper Representative said. In a serious tone, Bautista-Lim said that there a lot of programs under their party list that they still want to continue to do for the people.
