SILVESTRE BELLO JR’S PLATFORMS – Here are the accomplishments of former judge Silvestre Bello Jr. and his plans if he wins the May 2022 Senatorial Election.

Some of the candidates in the upcoming May 2022 Elections for senators are coming from prominent surnames in the government. One of them is lawyer Silvestre Bello Jr., the brother of incumbent labor secretary Silvestre Bello III.

Personal Background:

Silvestre “Estring” Bello Jr. is currently 88 years old. He was born on April 10, 1934 in Santa, Ilocos Sur. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Laws at Manuel L. Quezon University. He is the brother of Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III and Catherine Bello. He married but his wife passed away.

Accomplishments:

Silvestre Bello Jr. is a lawyer who was appointed as the Office-in-Charge governor of Isabela from December 1987 to February 1988 by Luis T. Santos, the then local government secretary, to oversee the elections. From 1992 to 1994, he was a Regional Trial Court (RTC) judge for Echague, Isabela. He also served as an RTC judge for Caloocan City. He got the appointment as the city’s executive judge in March 2003 and he served until April 2004. He was also the Director of the Board of Association of Retired RTC Judges of the Philippines Inc.

In the private sector, Bello was the Acesite Hotel director from 2009 to 2020. He was re-elected in his post in 2020 but he resigned due to health reasons.
