Luckily, a villager from a nearby village witnessed the incident and rushed to stop the monkey. The passerby was able to rescue the kid and prevent further trouble or possible tragedy.

The toddler’s mom with the surname Liu was cooking inside their home while her daughter was playing outdoors. The woman learned about the incident from her neighbors and immediately checked the surveillance camera. Liu reported the incident to the authorities.

The local police said that the toddler is safe and did not suffer major injuries except for scratches on her face. The girl will receive a vaccine and further medical attention at the hospital.

According to other villagers, the same monkey together with two other smaller mammals attacked some elderly villagers before. The monkey is also afraid to go near adults.

The police officers tried to catch the wild animals but they failed to do so. Some residents consider it a great threat to the villagers.
