Several Individuals in San Luis, Pampanga Suffered Injuries After Fireworks Display Gone Wrong

The fireworks display in Pampanga during the celebration of Easter Sunday gone wrong, several residents suffered wounds and injuries.

The supposed happy celebration of Easter Sunday in Pampanga turned into a tragic accident after the fireworks display went wrong. The fireworks flew in different directions including densely populated areas.

The unexpected incident causes fear and panic among residents watching the event. Several individuals have suffered wounds, injuries, and burns due to the incident. The accident happened during the last part of the “Salubong” event.

According to the police investigation, the fireworks were defective or old stock, which is inappropriate for aerial display. The organizers explained that it was their first time to experience such problems.

The Parish Pastoral Council of San Luis Gonzaga Parish President Marcelina Muñoz has issued a public apology regarding the incident and explained that no one wants it

“Sa mga ka parokya po namin dito sa San Luis Pampanga humihingi po ako ng paumanhin sa nangyari noong Sabado de Gloria though hindi naman po natin kagustuham,” Muñoz said.

The cops reported that only three individuals suffered minor injuries due to the incident. The victims have been rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment and medication. The victims have been discharged after receiving first aid.

“Dinala kaagad sa ospital yung tatlo dalawang minor pag dating po doon binigyan po ng first aid tapos dahil minor nga lang po yung natamo nilang injury, pinauwi rin kaagad,” San Luis, Pampanga Municipal Police Station Chief Pmaj. Fernando Tolentino said.
