Sisters of Rico Yan have different reactions to this issue
The late actor Rico Yan was dragged into the political issue after actress Claudine Barretto claimed that her ex-boyfriend was a pro-Marcos and this was contradicted by writer-talent manager Noel Ferrer.
Claudine shared a post showing her support for UniTeam’s presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos and this received a comment from a netizen saying that her political choice would make Rico sad.
With that, the actress defended and said that the late actor was a supporter of the Marcoses. Noel Ferrer shared a post contradicting the claim of Claudine Barretto. The writer shared that he and Rico Yan were together in an even celebrating that end of dictatorship in the Philippines.
Noel is among the showbiz personalities who are supporting the presidential candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo.
In this issue, the sisters for the late actor apparently have different reactions. His older sister liked the post of Noel which is an apparent manifestation of her support for the claim of the writer.
On the other hand, the younger sister of Rico slammed the writer calling him “pathetic, loser, and user.” “You have no right dragging my brother’s name into your indirect campaign motives,” Rico’s sister Tina said.
She said that the writer criticized the one “dragging” Rico’s name into this political issue but he was doing the same thing also when he posted a photo of the late actor.
Tina also said that Noel blocked her after she told him to stop using his brother’s name. Claudine Barretto shared this Instagram Story posts of Rico Yan’s younger sister. In the caption of the post of the actress, she wrote “Luv u @tinamarieyan.”
