Water Vendor Finally Files Complaint Against 6 Cops Who Stole His Cash Assistance

The poor water vendors filed a formal complaint against six Caloocan cops who allegedly stole his cash aid.

Last week, the street vendor named Eddie Acaso Yuson has expressed his disappointment towards six police officers for allegedly stealing his P14, 000 cash along with important documents.

Yuson is supposed to use the cash assistance he received from Department of Social Welfare and Development as capital to sell bottled water and soft drinks. The cops reportedly stole the money and even threatened him.

The poor man immediately reported the incident to the barangay hall and bursts into tears due to what happened. His job has been affected by the incident because he was traumatized.

The incident happened as Yuson is on his way to Jollibee to dinner for his family. Two men apprehended him and took his cash by force.

Caloocan police chief Colonel Samuel Mina said that the policemen involved on the incident were members of the anti-drug enforcement unit. The suspects even denied the accusations against them.

The suspects have been temporarily relieved from their post as the authorities investigate the incident.

Recently, Mina said that the complainant has finally filed a complaint against the suspects after almost five days. “Na-encourage naman natin yung complainant na mag-file ng reklamo for almost five days na kino-convince naming mag-akyat ng kaso. Naiakyat noong Monday ng hapon,” Mina said.
