Jinggoy Estrada believes friendship rises above political differences
UniTeam senatorial candidate Jinggoy Estrada said that he is confident that Megastar Sharon Cuneta and actress host Kris Aquino will vote for him.
Sharon’s husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, is running for vice president. He is the running mate of Vice President Leni Robredo of Angat Buhay Lahat team. Kris is also supporting the Leni-Kiko tandem and it is known to many that there is an undying issue between her family and the Marcos family.
Jinggoy, on the other hand, is in the rival camp, the UniTeam of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. He is one of the senatorial candidates of the team that pushes unity.
During a recent interview via Zoom, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, Jinggoy Estrada said that he knows his friends will support his senatorial candidacy. “Friendship should go beyond politics. I am confident Sharon Cuneta will vote for me,” the son of former President Erap Estrada said.
He also thinks that the daughter of the late President Cory Aquino will also vote for him. “She’s my kumare. I am confident Kris will also vote for me,” he said. The senatorial aspirant also shared his wish for Kris’s health. “I am really worried about her health. If she needs my help, I will help her,” the actor-politician said.
When asked about the reason why he decided to run again, Jinggoy said that he can still help the people. He stressed that as many people became jobless amid the pandemic, his main advocacy is to provide jobs.
Jinggoy Estrada is among the senatorial candidates in the 2022 elections who are performing well in pre-election surveys.
