Alden Richards Controversial Photo Online, GMA Sparkle Clarifies It

GMA Sparkle issues a statement about a photo of Alden Richards circulating online.

ALDEN RICHARDS – Kapuso actor Alden Richards allegedly has a controversial photo circulating online, GMA Sparkle makes clarification.

Controversies and issues are indeed something that celebrities won’t be able to avoid. Along with their prominence comes the false stories about their personal. Those stories were made up to tarnish their reputation and currently facing this similar situation is Kapuso actor Alden Richards.

According to reports, there’s a photo of him circulating online which appears that he doesn’t have cover to parts of his body that need to be covered. Addressing this controversial photo online, the Sparkle GMA Artist Center breaks its silence and issued an official statement regarding the matter.

In the statement, Sparkle firmly denied the authenticity of the photo. The management stressed that the photo is fake and was digitally altered. The photo that was edited was taken months ago.

Sparkle stated, “Mr. Richards is a role model for many people and we strongly condemn perpetrators of malicious activities related to our artists, including the spreading of groundless information and defamation.”

GMA denounced such wrongdoings and will seek legal action against those who are involved in altering and sharing the photo including those with libelous comments on the photo. They urged the public to be proactive against fake news and to think before clicking.

Meanwhile, Alden is starring in the Philippines adaptation of South Korea’s hit series Start-Up with Bea Alonzo as his leading lady. The show will be airing on the GMA network and this remake is Bea and Alden’s first project together.
