Jada Pinkett Smith Shares Message After Husband Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock At OSCARS
WILL SMITH – Actress-singer Jada Pinkett-Smith is speaking out days after husband Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on the OSCARS stage.
On Sunday, March 27, Hollywood superstar Will Smith slapped stand-up comedian Chris Rock in the face after the latter made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith’s shaved head during the recently-concluded Academy Awards. Will’s wife previously opened up about her struggles with hair loss condition due to alopecia.
“Will Smith just smacked the sh** out of me,” Rock said after Will hit him. “Keep my wife’s name out your f**king mouth,” Will responded and repeated the words again.
Later that evening, Will Smith apologized to the Academy but not to Chris Rock. In a Tweet, OSCARS said, “The Academy has since does not condone violence of any form.”
“Tonight we are delighted to celebrate our 94th Academy Awards winners, who deserve this moment of recognition from their peers and movie lovers around the world,” it added.

A day after he slapped Chris Rock, Will Smith issued a public apology. In his Instagram post, he called his behavior “unacceptable and inexcusable.”
His wife Jada recently shared a post about ‘healing’ on Instagram. The singer-actress left a few powerful words in the midst of her husband’s controversy with Chris Rock. This is her first-ever “statement” following the incident.
“This is a season for healing and I’m here for it,” the photo Jada uploaded on Instagram read.
In a previous article, conspiracy theorists claimed Chris Rock wore a face pad before Will slapped him at the OSCARS. Some also say that it was staged in a bid to bring back the academy’s poor viewership figures.
