Famous personality Toni Gonzaga as a BBM supporter has been lambasted online. She’s been canceled by many not just because of supporting a dictator’s son but also supporting the person behind the shutdown of her home network. Many people from her network reacted when she introduced Marcoleta and they felt betrayed.
But she’s unbothered. She did not bother to react to the mean comments and she also did not bother to give attention to people who did not like her choice of a presidential candidate. In a previous article, it was alleged that she got paid Php 120 million to support BBM. But during a recent Uniteam rally where she performed her famous “Roar” song performance again, she finally addressed it.
She expressed in front of the crowd, “Simula po nung tumayo ako sa entablado kasama ang Uniteam, ang tawag ng lahat, bayad daw po ako. Bayad po ba kayo?”
And now, amid the nonstop backlash at her, many people noticed her post online. On Instagram, she shared a couple of inspiring statements about kindness and being kind. She shared reflective quotes about how better things would be if people are just kind.
The backlash at Toni that involves BBM started when she made him appear in her vlog. She interviewed him and people did not like how it went. The questions and the answers were accordingly brainwashing. It earned various reactions from people online and from her fellow celebrities.
Meanwhile, after being open to supporting Marcos, she immediately resigned as the main host of a reality show. She then went on to appear in the Uniteam’s rallies endorsing BBM.
