Atty. Ferdinand Topacio claimed that the tandem of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan never intended to invite celebrity Kris Aquino to their campaign event in Tarlac.

It is a fact that Tarlac is the hometown of the Aquinos. Kris’s family has been living in the said province for so many years already. In recent days, the actress-host has been staying in their house in Tarlac as she is preparing to go abroad for her medical needs.

On March 23, the Leni-Kiko tandem visited the province and their sortie was jam-packed. Kris Aquino made a surprise appearance despite her health concerns. She proudly shared this story on her Instagram account.

“Surprise! Sa probinsya kung saan nagsimulang manilbihan sa ang dad (mayor ng Concepcion, Vice Governor and Governor) at ang kuya ko,- Noy served 3 straight terms (1998-2007) as Congressman ng 2nd district of Tarlac… the district where Alto (our family compound) is located, definitely kuya Josh’s HAPPY PLACE,” Kris said.

She said that many people got nervous when she decided to join the campaign event. Kris said that it was because of her love for her fellow Filipinos. However, based on the Twitter post of Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Kris was not invited after all to join the event.

“Hahaha! Daming tawa ko sa kuwento ng friend ko na nasa Leni campaign. Hindi daw talaga ininvite si Kris sa Tarlac because Leni wanted to distance herself from that branch of the Aquinos due to Noynoy’s lousy legacy, kaya lang biglang sumulpot si Kris. Di na sila nakaporma,” the lawyer said.
