Pinoy Comedian Dagul Bursts Into Tears as he Open Up Life After Showbiz
The Filipino comedian Dagul gets emotional and bursts into tears as he opened up about his life after showbiz.
Romeo Pastrana or popularly known as Dagul is one of the Filipino celebrities who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and currently struggling with their finances after losing his job in showbiz.
The comedian has started to work as the head of command center at their barangay hall. He also compared the huge difference of his income after leaving showbiz. He is just receiving honoraria from the barangay.
Aside from his barangay-hall job, he is also helping his family to operate a sari-sari store but even the combined income from the sari-sari store and barangay-hall job could not sustain the financial necessities of his family.
The Pinoy actor also revealed that he is already using a wheelchair because of his current health condition. The celebrity’s son carries him just to reach his office for work.
“Kapag tumayo ako hindi ako tumatagal, hindi ako makalakad, nakaupo lang. Binubuhat ako ng anak ko para pumasok sa opisina namin. ‘Pag wala akong trabaho sa Sabado, Linggo, dito ako sa bahay. May maliit kami na tindahan, ako ‘yung nagbabantay. Kasi nga si misis busy sa trabaho dito sa bahay kaya ako muna ang nagbabantay sa tindahan namin,” the 63-year-old comedian said.
Pastrana said that he was able to save some amount when he was still working at showbiz but most of it goes to the construction of their house. He is also struggling on how to support his children’s education.
Dagul also sought help from his former colleagues in showbiz to help his family financially as well as to restore his passion for entertainment.
