LENI ROBREDO – The Vice President broke her silence to the rumors that she married a member of the New People’s Army (NPA) and they had a child.

Fake news is circulating on different online platforms including social media. There are people who are spreading it while there are also those who are in the move to stop it. There are also individuals who are always the target of the said false information.

Vice President Leni Robredo is undeniably one of those who have been the constant target of fake news for several years now since she sat in the 2nd highest position in the country last 2016. The Vice President is vocal that her silence then has also helped the circulation of false information until some people have absorbed it.

Currently, Vice Pres. Robredo is on constant calls to the people most especially her supporters to help fight the spread of fake news. She now faces rumors head-on but still in a calm disposition.

Recently, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo reacted to rumors that her first husband was a member of the New People’s Army (NPA). In a post on social media, the Vice President who is also one of the presidential candidates in the upcoming May 2022 Election gave her reaction to the said rumor.

According to the Vice President, there is now a “new version” of the said rumor. She is accused of having abandoned her alleged child with her NPA member husband who died. She is rumored to have married the said NPA member at 15 years old.

Vice Pres. Leni Robredo stressed that she was only a 3rd-year high school student when she was 15 years old and her classmates and friends from high school until college could attest that she never had a leave of absence in school. She also stated that she graduated college on time at the age of 21.

In her post on Facebook, the Vice President said that she lived in a dormitory at the University of the Philippines for four (4) years and all her roommates are female. According to her, she met the late former Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo after graduation and they married twice.
