Cops Arrest Minor Suspects For Selling Stolen Cellphone Owned by Lady Student
STOLEN MOBILE PHONE – A lady student found her stolen cellphone being sold online at a cheaper price after it was stolen.
The mother of the lady student named She Cadores narrated that her daughter her mobile phone being sold online less than 24 hours after it was stolen. The phone was being sold for only P5, 600.
The student cried and told her mother about what she had discovered. The lady victim is sure that it was her phone because of the case and serial number. Her projects and other files were saved on the phone.
“Mama, tignan niyo po yung ano nandito po yung cellphone ko, umiyak na siya ulit. Binebenta na po siya wala na yung sticker sa likod. Binebenta po P5,600. Noong time na po ‘yun talaga meron siyang project doon po nakalagay lahat iyak nang iyak siya,” Cadores said.
Cadores and her daughter created a dummy account to communicate with the seller. They ask the help pf Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Fairview Police Station 16 for the meetup in Fairview, Quezon City.
The police authorities launched an entrapment operation and arrest the suspects who were minors. The culprits were selling the phone cheaper price to make money.
Fairview Police Station-16 QCPD commander Lieutenant Colonel Richard Mepania advised the parents to check their children’s activity online.
“Ito yung lagi nating sinasabi na itong ating mga magulang ay bantayan natin yung ating mga anak dahil hindi natin nalalaman kung minsan yung pong mga transaction na ginagawa nila through online,” Mepania said.
