Vic Sotto was asked about his sons meeting with the Lacson-Sotto tandem
Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto said that “kwentuhan” happened when the tandem of Senator Ping Lacson and Senate President Tito Sotto visited his son Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
Previously, Mayor Vico has already expressed that he does not want to involve himself in national politics. Amid the heat brought by the election season, the local chief executive is not joining other local officials who have endorsed national candidates.
However, on March 9, the Lacson-Sotto tandem, with senatorial aspirant Gringo Honasan, visited the Pasig City Mayor. Vic Sotto was also there. When the veteran comedian-host was asked what were the topics the politicians talked about, he said that nothing political and that it was “kwentuhan lang naman.”
Based on the video posted on the Twitter account of ABS-CBN reporter Kat Domingo, Vic was asked if he made this meeting possible as everyone knows that other presidential and vice-presidential candidates weren’t able to have a meeting with Mayor Vico Sotto.
Vic simply answered that Mayor Vico is his son and it is obvious. One of the reporters who were present during the said event also asked the Eat Bulaga host if the mayor has promised anything to the Lacson-Sotto Tandem, he said, “kayo na bahala mag-decipher.”

The Lacson-Sotto tandem held a press conference after their meeting with Mayor Vico Sotto. When the Senate President was asked about the meeting with his nephew, he said that it is enough that the Pasig City Mayor accommodated them as this spoke a thousand words.
“I’m very much aware sa sitwasyon ni Mayor Vico at nasabi niya pa noon pa yan sa akin that he didnt want to involve himself in national politics,” Sen. Tito Sotto said.

Mayor Vico said that there was no endorsement that happened. “Wala. Nagpromise ako,” he said but when asked to clarify the “promise,” he said, “Secret.”
