Lauren Dyogi praised this particular thing that Alex Gonzaga did
Actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga shared the proud moment that she had when she received praise from ABS-CBN executive Lauren Dyogi.
Direk Lauren is now handling Star Magic but prior to this, he has been helping artists of the Kapamilya network when it comes to projects and shows. He is one of the people behind Pinoy Big Brother.
In a recent interview on Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez’s YouTube channel, based on the article in Inquirer, Alex shared that one of the unforgettable achievements that she has in showbiz was receiving positive feedback from Direk Lauren.
“Hindi ko makakalimutan ‘yung sinabi ni Direk Lauren na tinap niya ko na parang, ‘Uy congrats. Continue making hits like that, ‘yung ‘Chambe.’ Sabi ko, ‘Hala, first time ever tinap niya ko,’” Alex Gonzaga shared.
The said song was inspired by Seve, Alex’s nephew, the son of her sister Toni Gonzaga and director Paul Soriano. However, Alex can’t really say that it was the turning point of her career because she said that she is still under the shadow of her older sister.
“Everything was new so hindi mo talaga masasabi na, ‘Yeah, it’s like the best song,’ kasi nga, first, it’s still my sister. It’s still my inaanak, my pamangkin, so okay lang. Hindi siya ‘yung game changer for me,” the Lunch Out Loud host said.
Then, Alex pointed out that she decided to draw herself towards her comedic side and concentrate on this rather than to make the achievements of her sister a standard.
The actress-vlogger admitted that she has a misconception before that in being famous, she had to follow what Toni Gonzaga has already done but eventually, she found her own style.
She said that all she needed was a camera and Mommy Pinty, their mother, to make people interested in her. Alex Gonzaga is now one of the Pinoy showbiz personalities who has the biggest number of subscribers on YouTube.
