Maja Salvador manages the showbiz career of John Lloyd Cruz
Happy ToGetHer actor John Lloyd Cruz revealed what it is like having actress-dancer Maja Salvador as his manager.
From 1997 until 2017, John Lloyd was managed by Star Cinema, the talent management company of ABS-CBN. After taking a break in showbiz, the actor returned and he is now being managed by Crown Artist Management, the talent management firm established by Maja and her boyfriend Rambo Nunez.
CAM is now celebrating its first year anniversary. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, John Lloyd Cruz was asked about Maja Salvador’s duty as his manager.
“So, these are my friends. Si Maja, parang kapatid ko. Tapos, si Rambo. So, parang imposibleng hindi nila alam yung nangyayari, kasi, alam mo na they mean well, at gusto ka nilang tulungan,” the A-list actor shared.
With this kind of help being offered to him, John Lloyd said that he can’t turn it down. He is optimistic that Maja and Rambo will do a lot of good things for his career.
When asked if Maja is different is a strict manager, John Lloyd said in jest, “Ano siya, e, pa-Tita Angge na siya! Pa-Tita A na siya…” The A-list actor was referring to the late talent manager Cornelia “Angge” Lee who handled the careers of many seasoned artists such as Sylvia Sanchez, Lotlot de Leon, and Bayani Agbayani.
On a more serious note, John Lloyd Cruz said that one thing that he likes about Maja Salvador as a manager is that she does not impose on him what he should do but instead she is helping him.
“To guide you, para maabot yung gusto mong goal,” he said. The actor is aiming to do more projects and he is sure that his management will help him realize these.
