Alex and Toni Gonzaga entertained Pinoys in Dubai
The crowd during the concert of celebrity sisters Toni Gonzaga and Alex Gonzaga in Dubai shouted “BBM!” after the host introduced them.
Toni is a known supporter of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos, along with her husband director Paul Soriano. The couple has been joining campaign rallies of BBM and the whole UniTeam in different parts of the Philippines.
Despite getting bashed for her political stand, Toni does not mind this. For Alex Gonzaga, she is endorsing the senatorial candidacy of Antique Representative Loren Legarda. Although Alex has not endorsed BBM, Legarda belongs to the senatorial slate of the UniTeam.
This is probably the reason why the crowd in the concert of the Gonzaga sisters shouted “BBM!” repeatedly. Alex Gonzaga was the one who first performed and it can be heard before the music started, members of the audience were already shouting the name of the presidential candidate.
The crowd repeated their chant in the middle of Alex’s performance. The actress-vlogger jokingly said that she shouldn’t be involved in this. After Toni Gonzaga came up on stage and performed her first song with her younger sister, the crowd shouted that same chant.
The Ultimate Multimedia Star just smiled and said, “quiet kayo diyan” and the crowd laughed. Alex said, “sa kaniya niyo sabihin,” while pointing at her sister. “Charing,” the younger Gonzaga added.
In a previous interview, Alex Gonzaga shared that Toni Gonzaga is not affected by the bashing that she is receiving because of her support for Bongbong Marcos. The younger Gonzaga said that her “ate” is a strong person and negative reactions would not easily affect her.
