Robin Padilla met his supporter “Leni”
Action star Robin Padilla, who is running for senator in the 2022 elections, had this funny encounter with his supporter named “Leni.”
Robin is known as one of the prominent action stars during the 90s. He is known for his “bad boy” image onscreen. This year, he ventured into a new action scene and it is in the political arena.
When the campaign period has started, he joined the sorties of the UniTeam led by former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. Previously, the BBM-Sara tandem had different statements when it comes to Robin Padilla’s inclusion in their senatorial slate.
Mayor Sara said that Robin is the 12th senatorial candidate of UniTeam but BBM said that the actor can join their rallies but he is not officially part of their senatorial candidates.
In a recent campaign rally of UniTeam in Balayan, Batangas, Robin met one of his avid supporters, based on the Twitter post of Manila Bulletin. The said supporter of the senatorial candidate caught his attention and he called him on stage.
It can be seen in the video that the supporter hugged Robin tightly and the crowd was cheering. After the hug, the supporter jumped with so much excitement. The action star asked, “Ano ang pangalan mo?”
Robin’s supporter answered, “Leni po” and he responded with “ha?!” it can be heard that the crowd was laughing. Then, the actor said, “Magmula ngayon, si Mariel ka na.” His wife’s name is Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla. After that, “Leni” hugged the actor again. Robin Padilla thanked his supporter for coming to the rally.
In a recently released senatorial survey of OCTA Research, Robin ranked sixth.
