Mariel Rodriguez, Robin Padilla Still Don’t Have Wedding Rings
MARIEL RODRIGUEZ – TV host Mariel Padilla has revealed she has something in common with her friend Angel Locsin – she and her husband Robin Padilla don’t have wedding rings.
Wedding rings are a symbol of eternal love. Wearing it is a common ritual practiced by almost all couples around the world. It is a symbol of devotion and agreement between two parties to love one another for the rest of their days.
To celebrate Valentines Day, film producer Neil Arce surprised his wife Angel Locsin with their wedding rings several months after they tied the knot in a civil wedding ceremony at the Taguig City Hall last year. He also prepared a sumptuous dinner to celebrate the occasion.
It can be recalled that the celebrity couple told their fans that they did not have wedding rings when they got married. When they were informed that they need it for the ceremony, Neil borrowed a ring from his son Joaquin while Angel just used her engagement ring.
In a post on her Instagram account last February 13, the beautiful actress gave her fans a glimpse of their pre-Valentines dinner. She also posted photos of their hands wearing their dazzling wedding rings.
In the caption of the post, she wrote: “Sabi ko simplehan lang! May pa-wedding ring si Mr. Arce. Finally, may wedding ring na rin kami. Thank you my love.”

Many of Angel’s celebrity friends were quick to react including Bea Alonzo, Yasmien Kurdi, Candy Pangilinan, among others. But Mariel Padilla’s comment caught the attention of netizens.
Angel and Neil aren’t the only celebrity couple who don’t have wedding rings even though they’re already married. Even Mariel and Robin Padilla did not have wedding rings during their almost 12 years together as a couple. This was revealed by the tv host in her comment on Angel’s IG post.
“Kami mag 12 years wala kaming wedding rin parin mars. Hehehe happy anniversary,” Mariel said.
Angel replied to her comment saying she should ask one from Robin. “singilin mo na si kuya @robinhoodpadilla,” she wrote.
