Ping Lacson Lashes Advance Questionnaire on Debates: “Mag-aral ka!”

Ping Lacson Unfavor on Advance Questionnaire Given to Candidate Before Debate

Presidential aspirant Panfilo “Ping” Lacson lashes the Commission on Election (Comelec) decision to give an advance questionnaire to candidates before the debate.

Lacson disagreed with Comelec’s decision to provide the candidates with an advanced topic for the discussion. According to Lacson, it is preferable for candidates to study hard before the debate if prior questionnaires are given so that they are also given leaking.

“Ayoko, para kang nagbigay ng leakage bakit ka pa nag-exam kung may leakage, dapat mag-aral sila,” Lacson said in a press conference.

“Your for running for top offical, mag-aral ka. Anong gagawin mo kapag naboto ka na, saka ka mag-aaral. Iharap mo ngayon sa tao ang kaya mong gawin,” he added.

Senate President Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III, Lacson’s running mate, was also critical of the Comelec’s decision. Those who are still studying now, our compatriots, should be aware that those who have studied for 30 years will be trusted, he said.

Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez previously stated that the commission took procedures to ensure that the discussion was fair to all contestants. On the other hand, Jimenez stated that no particular or specific questions will be asked of the candidates participating in the discussion.

Meanwhile, presidential aspirant and Vice President Leni Robredo recently clapped back to critics on Facebook who claimed she had given questions in advance for the CNN Philippines “Presidential Debate.” According to the report, the network did not give any questions in advance.
