Doc Willie Ong Speaks on CNN Vice-Presidential Debate
DOC WILLIE ONG – The cardiologist and vice-presidential candidate said that all the quests given during the CNN Debate were surprise questions.
On May 9, 2022, the Filipinos are set to vote for the next president and vice president of the Republic of the Philippines. There are several candidates for the presidential and vice-presidential race.
One of the candidates for vice president is Doc Willie Ong, a cardiologist who has over 16 million followers on social media. He is the running-mate of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno. They are running under Partido Aksyon Demokratiko.
According to Doc Willie, he will not promise anything big but he can assure the public that he will not steal from the government funds. He also stressed that he will focus on the healthcare field should he win vice president in the upcoming election.
It is not the first time that Doc Willie is running for a national position. During the 2019 Midterm Elections, he ran for a seat in the Senate but he lost the poll.
The election candidates are currently on a double-time campaigning to the people. They are visiting different cities and provinces to win the votes of the Filipinos. They lay their platforms and speak on key issues concerning the country.
Recently, CNN held debates for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates. One of those who graced the CNN Debate was Doc Willie Ong.
On a social media post, Doc Willie Ong said that all the quests given to them during the CNN Debate were “all surprise questions”. He posted a photo of his scribbles during the debate. According to him, he was writing his answers fast so the people will understand.
According to Doc Willie, he really studied all the issues raised during the debate. He stressed that you really need to have “quick and sharp thinking to answer concisely within a short time or else they will cut your microphone”.
