Taguig City Police arrest 17 individuals in Taguig City for illegal gambling during series of anti-criminality operations.

Nowadays, many people are engaging in various activities so they could earn money amid the coronavirus pandemic. Some of our countrymen are even engaging in illegal activities just to earn.

However, law violators would face corresponding sanctions and penalties, according to their violation.

Illegal Gambling

On Wednesday (February 23, 2022), 17 individuals have been arrested for participating on illegal gambling. Taguig City police launches series of anti-criminality operations in the city to reduce the rate of criminality.

Around 3:00 pm, the personnel of Sub-Station 6 arrested four individuals along Libis Street in Barangay Central Signal Village for playing a dice game. The cops recovered the bet money worth P740.00 and a pair of dice.

Around 5:00 pm, the authorities nabbed a mechanic and a construction worker along Capistrano Extension in Barangay Hagonoy for playing cara y cruz. Taguig City Police Sub-Station 9 personnel launched Oplan Galugad when they spotted the suspects.  Over P530.00 bet money and P3 coins used as toss coins.

The police officers also caught four individuals along P. Burgos Street in Barangay Sta Ana playing cara y cruz. The police also recovered P3 coins used as flip coins and P570 bet money.

Around 6:00 pm, Taguig City Police Sub-Station 2 arrested seven gamblers in Barangay Western Bicutan for playing card games. Two decks of cards and bet money worth P608 have been recovered from the suspects.

The suspects will face charges of illegal gambling.
