Alex Gonzaga talked about her older sister Toni Gonzaga
Lunch Out Loud host Alex Gonzaga made revelations about the recent bashing that her sister actress-host Toni Gonzaga has been receiving.
Toni received tons of bashing when she vocally shared her political views. Just recently, the bashing that Toni received was initiated by her hosting stint in the proclamation rally of the UniTeam.
Even celebrities and prominent people from her home network, ABS-CBN, expressed negative reactions to her decision to support the BBM-Sara tandem.
From that, she and her husband director Paul Soriano have been accompanying presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos and his team in various political events.
In a recent interview on seasoned broadcaster Karen Davila’s YouTube channel, Alex Gonzaga was asked about her older sister amid the bashings. The actress-vlogger said that in their family, each member respects the other’s political views.
“Sa family, iba-iba ng political stand but my daddy would always say na, ‘Your political stand is your right but mas importante is family than anything, any issue. So we support each other, we know our stand,” Alex said.
The younger Gonzaga said that Toni Gonzaga would divert to another topic when she would be asked how she is amid the bashing. For Alex, her older sister is equipped when it comes to bashing.
Toni had been receiving bashing or was bullied since she was in preschool, Alex shared. The latter even quipped that all the painful words that bashers are throwing at Toni would not matter anymore because the actress-host had already received those kinds of words from her father.
“Pag pinagagalitan siya ng daddy ko, sinasabi ng daddy ko, ‘Hindi ka magre-react?’ Matapang talaga ang ate ko as a person kaya nga sabi ko siguro nga talagang she was really born for this kasi kaya niya,” Alex Gonzaga said about Toni Gonzaga.
