Toni Gonzaga and her husband Paul Soriano were highly criticized online for siding with the camp of former senator Bongbong Marcos Jr. and Mayor Sara Duterte. The Ultimate Multimedia Star also became a trending topic after she hosted the BBM-Sara’s proclamation rally.
After the event, Toni resigned from her hosting stint in Kapamilya’s reality tv show PBB. She then endorsed the main hosting job to her colleague Bianca Gonzalez.
Amid the critical comments, Toni Gonzaga shared a “Lion Mentality” motivational video in her IG account. However, moments after posting, the actress decided to delete it.
A quote from the video says: “The greatest fear in the world is the opinion of others, and the moment you are unafraid of the crowd, you are no longer a sheep, you become a LION. A great roar arises in your heart… the roar of freedom.”

The video of Toni Gonzaga’s performance in BBM’s UniTeam campaign rally is now viral. She performed the No. 1 song “Roar” originally done by American singer Katy Perry. In the chorus of the song, netizens noticed her pointing at the presidential candidate.
After her performance, the prominent host introduced the senators of the UniTeam one by one. So is the running vice president of their group Sara Duterte whom she introduced as the “Agila ng Davao.” When she introduced BBM, he called him “Tigre ng Norte.”
