Store Attendant Fights Holdup Suspects Trying to Steal his Phone
Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati – A brave store attendant fearlessly fights the holdup suspects who try to steal the store’s income.
Nowadays, robbery has been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. Some criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to lack of job opportunities.
The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase despite the stricter rules and regulations.
The CCTV footage of a small grocery store in Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati caught the intense commotion between a store attendant and holduppers. The video goes viral and garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that the attendant was just peacefully doing his job when a riding-in-tandem arrived. The suspects pretended as customers but one thief pulled out his gun and declared a hold-up.
The holdupper took the worker’s mobile but the latter failed open the drawer containing the store’s income. The victim fought back and tried to grab his phone from the suspect leading into an intense commotion.
Unfortunately, the store worker fought back and tried to take his phone back from the suspects although he knew the danger of his action.
“Huwag niyo akong gayahin, baka ma-aksidente pa,” the victim said.
The store owner named Rose narrated that the suspects were already monitoring the store for a certain period of time.
“Noong nakaraan daw na December bumibili bili lang ng sigarilyo tapos umaalis na siguro nagmamasid tinitingnan kung anong maaano nila parang alam kasi nila kung saan nakalagay yung kaha eh,” Rose said.
The store owner builds a fence around the vicinity to prevent such incident. The police authorities launched a follow-up operation.
