RITA GAVIOLA – Viral Badjao Girl and former teen housemate, Rita Gaviola, joins this Showtime segment and she was named as the daily winner.
Former “Pinoy Big Brother” teen housemate Rita Gaviola is back in the limelight. She is known as the viral “Badjao Girl“. She went viral years ago, specifically in 2016, for her beauty and just recently, in Its Showtime’s “Sexy Babe” segment, she returned as a beauty queen. The photographer captured her asking for money from people in the streets amid the celebration of the Pahiyas Festival.
This particular segment is the new pageant-type segment of the noontime show. And returning to join the program, many were amazed by her transformation. She shared this as one of the reasons she joined, “Gusto ko ipakita sa buong mundo ang kakayahan ng isang katutubong Badjao.”
She joined the “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7” edition where she was named the “Badjao Girl ng Lucena”. However, her journey in Bahay Ni Kuya was just short. In the show, she shared her life and previous viral moment. She also shared with the hosts a short story about her personal life and her love life.
Rita is currently in a relationship with a basketball player. Pre-pandemic, she was juggling work and school. She expressed her wish to join a Miss Universe pageant and raise awareness about the Badjao tribe, build a name for her fellow, and for people not to look down on them.
