The doctor revealed that the 72-hour work happened during the rise of H1N1 virus in the Philippines. His relievers got sick during that time and he had to do all the task by himself until his colleagues recovered.

Dr. Charles revealed that his family gives him strength to endure the long-period of exhausting job at the hospital.

A tricycle driver named Joel Bacarra is saving cash to pay their electricity bill after failing to pay for three months. He is starting to work as early as 2:00 am in the morning and ends 8:00 pm in the evening.

The driver said that it was his routing for the past few years and admit the hardships of his job just to feed his family.

“Ang hirap talaga, eh di ba siyempre mas uunahin mo muna yung pagkain, pangalawa yung pangangailangan namin sa bahay katulad ng mga sinabi ko yung anak ko mas uunahin ko yun, huli na yung mga iba diyan na kailangang gawin,” Bacarra said.

Aside from this, he is paying for his tricycle for more than P1, 000 every week and only earn around P500 to P700 per day despite the long hours of work. He is hoping that his body will stay healthy.
