Willie Revilla is having mixed emotions about this new career move
Veteran game show host Willie Revillame is feeling different emotions as he is set to bid goodbye to GMA-7 after almost seven years of working with the Kapuso network.
Kuya Wil’s Wowowin is co-produced by his production company, WBR Entertainment Productions, and the Kapuso network. Just recently, it was officially announced that the veteran host is leaving the network and it was rumored that he is negotiating with billionaire businessman Manny Villar.
It was revealed by entertainment reporter Cristy Fermin that GMA offered Willie to renew his contract but the latter chose to turn it down. Based on the article in PEP, Sam Verzosa, Frontrow’s big boss and a close friend of Willie Revillame, shared that the host decided to end his connection first to GMA before entertaining a negotiation with another company.
“Ginawa niya yun sa tingin ko out of delikadesa, e. Kasi, kung oportunista ka, puwede ka naman mag-stay habang may kinakausap kang iba. Pero siya, hindi, e. Pag may kausap sa iyong iba, tapos nasa show ka, hindi mo maatim yun, e,” Sam said.
He added that even though Willie can still continue his stint in GMA while negotiating with another party, the veteran host chose not to do this out of “delicadeza”. “Imadyinin mo, malaki rin ang mawawala sa kanya, e. Ang laki ng mga sponsors niya,” Sam revealed.
The Frontrow big boss also revealed that Kuya Wil is feeling a bunch of emotion right now. “Halu-halo yung emosyon niya, e. Kasi siyempre, sa totoo lang, isa sa pinaka-loyal na taong kilala ko, si Kuya Wil,” Sam said.
In a separate article in PEP, it was said that former talents and employees of the Kapamilya network are already reaching out to the team of Willie Revillame. Aside from being a content producer and host, it was rumored that Kuya Wil will become one of the executives of the TV network of Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc.
