PAGASA Says Amihan and Shear Line to Affect PH Weather
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line would bring cloudy condition with scattered rains over some parts of the country.
On Friday (February 11, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and the northeast monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Shear line will be affecting Visayas while the Northeast Monsoon would affect Luzon.
The shear line will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Northern Samar, Visayas. Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula.
Quezon and Aurora will experience similar weather condition due to the northeast monsoon.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated light rains over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over the rest of Mindanao.
The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms. No tropical cyclone or low-pressure area is expected until the weekend.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
