MANNY PACQUIAO – The PROMDI standard-bearer took a swipe at some politicians who allegedly made the government their livelihood.

One of the 10 presidential candidates in the May 2022 Election is Senator Manny Pacquiao. He is the standard-bearer of PROMDI and runs alongside the political party’s vice-presidential bet, Representative Lito Atienza.

Recently, the campaign period of the national Election 2022 started and the presidential bets did their proclamation rallies in different areas. The boxer-turned-Senator had the kick-off of his presidential campaign in General Santos City.

Pacquiao was previously an official of the GenSan provincial government before he ran for senator in 2016. Many of his family and friends were present at the proclamation rally.

Before the kick-off of his presidential campaign, the family and friends of Sen. Manny Pacquiao prayed him over at their house in General Santos. Among those spotted present are his wife, Jinkee Pacquiao, and his mother, Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao.

Mommy D even expressed her worries that the Senator will lose all his money in the campaign. She revealed that huge amounts during the previous elections were spent by her son.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, during the proclamation rally, Sen. Manny Pacquiao stressed that this election is a fight for the poor. He took a swipe at some politicians accusing them of making the government their livelihood.

“Yung mga ganid na pulitiko yan. Ginawa lang nilang pangkabuhayan ang serbisyo dapat nila sa tao,” he said.

Sen. Pacquiao is vocal about his desire to help more Filipinos most especially the poor and to push housing projects in the country if he wins president. He stressed that he has been through a poor situation and he knows the struggles of those who are living in poverty and he wants to help them. He also wants the country to be prepared for emergency circumstances like calamities.
