Here’s what Jimmy Bondoc said about Paolo Santos
PAGCOR’s VP for Corporate Social Responsibility Group Jimmy Bondoc reacted to the denial of singer Paolo Santos about the DDS concert.
Last August 30, supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte held a concert anss several artists joined to serenade the Chief Executive. In a promotional post, the name of Paolo was included which surprised many netizens and this made him a trending topic on social media.
However, Paolo denied that he is included in the line up of artists who would perform for the President. In line with this, Jimmy, who organized the said online concert gave his reaction.
Based on the article from Pilipino Star Ngayon, the PAGCOR official said that the backing out of Paolo from the event was due to a misunderstanding and not because it was his political stand.

“Ang napakalinaw sa akin ay iyung pag-backout ni Paolo sa event na iyun ay hindi poltical statement. It was because of miscommunication somewhere in our system,” Jimmy Bondoc said.
He also said that as far as he knows, Paolo’s support for the President is still the same as before. “Walang political statement ang pa-concert na yun,” he added.
Jimmy also slammed the comments of other people that the event was just a “pasipsip”. “Siguro sa tagal na natin sa industriyang ito, parang iyun na yata ang pinakaluma at sinaunang reaksyon naman ng mga dissenters. I think it’s just normal and I understand. Ganun talaga eh. They have to say something kasi they are from another side,” he stressed.
He also said that music has the ability to communicate to people whether anti or pro-Duterte. Jimmy Bondoc also said that he used this medium so that people who hate the President will see their love and support for the President is pure and without any political agenda.
