Curfew Violator Had Exchange of Gunshots w/ Cops After Apprehended for Violation

BANGUED, ABRA – A curfew violator had an exchange of gunshots with the policemen who apprehended him.

Over the past few years, the Philippine government is implementing stricter rules and regulations in the country to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease. The pandemic has already infected millions of people worldwide.

The Philippine authorities are also implementing curfew policy to restrict the movements of the residents. It also aims to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 through mass gathering and other unnecessary fellowship.

Curfew Violator

Some curfew violators were even trying to fight and escape the authorities during apprehension. Law offenders are subject for corresponding sanctions and penalties.

A CCTV camera caught the shootout between several police officers and a curfew violator. The video shows two men in front of a bakery when a motorcycle rider arrived and had a shootout started.

The two guys chased the rider and have another shootout at a nearby street. The curfew violator identified as Mark de Guzman has been rushed to the hospital after suffering from gunshots.

Unfortunately, the doctors declared De Guzman dead-on-arrival. According to the police authorities, the police officers conducted a monitoring and apprehended the suspect for violating the curfew policy.

Abra is currently under Alert Level 3 wherein the movements of the residents are restricted to prevent the further transmission of COVID-19.
