Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay admits that it did not suit him well hearing this statement from someone.
DEREK RAMSAY – Famous actor Derek Ramsay “napikon” when someone told him that he’s too rich the reason why prefers not to work anymore.
Not everyone is financially blessed in life. Some have enough just until the next salary comes while other struggles every day to eat thrice in a day. But one thing is similar in these kinds of situations and that is working hard to survive. Everyone is surely working hard to survive, to eat, to pay the bills, and everything and this does not exclude the ultra-rich Derek Ramsay, as to what many people would think of him.

With his house, cars, successful projects, and product endorsements, one can ultimately say that he does need more work anymore being on this kind of pedestal already in the show business industry. But everything is fleeting and everything changes. And after being mocked because of his riches the reason why he does not need to work anymore has resulted in wrath in him.
He believes that he is just like everyone else – working hard to survive. In his view, no one surely wanted to lose work and lose their source of income. In his case, it just so happened that its pandemic, and his priorities are different from the others. He and his fiancee Ellen Adarna were accused that they are too rich to the point that they could reject a certain project in a snap.
“Pikon na pikon talaga ako nun nang sinabihan ako ng ganun na, ‘Porke’t ikaw, ang dami mong pera, ayaw mong magtrabaho.’ Sino ba ang ayaw kumita ng pera? Magpapamilya kami, meron akong mga bills na kailangang bayaran. Gusto ko ba ‘tong pandemic na ‘to?” the actor has said. He also said that it was “kabastusan” the reason why it has really gotten into his nerves.
He added that no one wanted this health problem the world is currently facing and they are also sacrificing just like how most people are.
He also stated as per PEP, “Everybody is affected by this, tapos sasabihan niyo ako ng ganun? Siyempre, gusto kong kumita.”
