Rowena Guanzon hints at the identity of the Senator she previously mentioned
Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon has this blind item about the Senator who is allegedly delaying the conclusion in the disqualification case against presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos.
Several groups are urging the Commission on Election to disqualify the candidacy of the former Senator as they pointed out the violations that he supposedly committed. As the decision wasn’t released on the day it was initially scheduled, Guanzon questioned Commissioner Aimee Ferolino why there was a delay.
Later on, Commissioner Rowena Guanzon released her separate opinion regarding the disqualification case against Bongbong Marcos. She previously said that there is someone who is causing the delay. She said that a Senator is delaying the decision.
In a previous report, it was said that speculations surfaced that the Election Commissioner was talking about Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa, however, the lawmaker denied his involvement on this issue despite the fact that he is one of those who showed support for Commissioner Aimee Ferolino when she got her current position.
In a recent report from The Philippine Star, Guanzon revealed clues pointing to the Senator who she was talking about. She said that this lawmaker is from Davao. The Commissioner also said that the wife of the Senator knows that he is the one delaying the decision of Comelec.
The Commissioner also said that she is willing to divulge the identity of the Senator to a “person in authority”. “I already told a person in authority and I have to respect him. If he says he will get back to me, he will get back to me, so it is not mine to say it in public,” Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said.
