Dela Rosa Reacts To Guanzon’s Claim About Senator Influencing Marcos DQ Case

Dela Rosa has this statement regarding Guanzon’s claim

Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa was asked if he is the lawmaker to who Election Commissioner Rowena Guanzon was referring when she said that a senator is influencing the disqualification case against presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos.

Sen. Bato is known as one of the close allies of President Rodrigo Duterte. He was also vocal about supporting presidential daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s candidacy. Mayor Sara is the running mate of BBM.

While the issue of the disqualification cases against the former Senator is being discussed, Commissioner Guanzon questioned why there is a delay in giving out the decision. She mentioned that there is someone influencing Commissioner Aimee Ferolino.

In line with the speculations, Dela Rosa was asked directly during a recent interview, based on the report from News5. He challenged Guanzon to reveal the name of the person she is referring to.

Pangalanan na niya in public para malaman ng lahat kung sino ‘yang tinutukoy niya,” the Senator said. He added that the support that he has shown for Commissioner Ferolino during the CA deliberations was based on his experience working with her during elections in Davao region.

The Senator said that he knows Ferolino can stand her ground against menacing politicians because he was able to see that. Dela Rosa was one of the political personalities who showed support for Ferolino when she was appointed as Commission on Elections commissioner.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Rowena Guanzon has released her separate opinion on the disqualification case against Bongbong Marcos. She said that there is moral turpitude on the tax conviction of Marcos Jr. as she also pointed out that the former Senator was convicted twice.
