The Malacañang Palace has warned the public against the fake news allegedly using the video clip of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Those behind the disinformation effort, according to Acting Presidential Spokesman Karlo Nograles, utilized the President’s old video footage to claim that two doses of the COVID vaccination were right. He said that the viral video footage was the President’s remarks from his September 30, 2021 Talk to the People.

While waiting for the booster injection to be authorized, the video purportedly pushed others to be vaccinated, resulting in an increase of 21 million people who were completely vaccinated. Those who circulate the old video footage of the President, he claims, attempt to make it look that a booster injection is unnecessary.

“The said video clip should be viewed in the proper context. At that point, 21 million of our countrymen were fully vaccinated, and our priority was to increase this number, which is why the provision of booster shots has yet to be approved,” said Nograles.

It was a fraud, according to Nograles, intended to derail the government’s COVID-19 immunization program. The Palace has advised against sending such propaganda since it is apparent that those behind it intend to jeopardize Filipinos’ health and safety.

The secretary emphasized that while there is a huge supply of vaccines, people should take advantage of the chance to get their first and second doses of vaccination, as well as booster shots. He reiterates that COVID-19 booster doses give extra protection against the virus, and he urges the public to desist from spreading misinformation that might jeopardize our efforts to control COVID-19 and weaken our drive to eradicate the virus.
