Viral Vendor Aling Gemma Apologized Over Distasteful Remarks Against President Duterte

Viral vendor Aling Gemma has issued a public apology after criticizing President Duterte over “no vaccine, no ride” policy.

Over the past few days, Gemma Parina becomes one of the most controversial personalities online after lambasting President Rodrigo Duterte and the current administration for implementing the “no vaccine, no ride” policy in the National Capital Region.

Parina who is working as a market vendor at the Paco Market in Manila walked from her home heading to reach the market since public utility vehicles do not allow unvaccinated passengers to take a ride.

Aling Gemma refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine because of her medical condition. She has a heart condition and diabetes, which may cause further health complication in the future.

The lady vendor expressed her frustration because the administration is allegedly making the poor Filipinos suffer. She had to work and sell “Balut” everyday just to support the necessities of her family.

The raging woman criticized the government for not shouldering the bills of individuals who have died after receiving the COVID-19 vaccines. The video spread like a wildfire online and elicits comments from the netizens.
