2 Individuals Arrested After Presenting Fake Vaccine Card in Cotabato City

Police authorities arrested two individuals after they were caught possessing fake vaccine card when they presented it on Cotabato City.

The two people were arrested, according to ABS-CBN News, after they allegedly presented authorities with false vaccination cards. The real vaccination card resembles the one created by the accused almost exactly.

However, the authorities got suspicious when they discovered that the time between their first and second doses was barely 10 days. The time between the first and second doses should be at least three months.

Due to the arrests of the two, vaccination certificates will be required for people entering the city beginning Saturday, January 15, according to Cotabato Mayor Cynthia Guiani. She claimed that a forged immunization card would be useless. Vaccination is the most efficient way to protect yourself from the consequences caused by COVID-19.

The suspects have been apprehended and will be charged. Due to the fast spike in cases in Cotabato over the past week, the city is currently under COVID-19 Alert Level 3.

Meanwhile, a lady faces charges of fabrication of public records after reportedly selling a fraudulent vaccination card at the Old Public Market Gate 1, Centro, Santiago City. The City Health Office (CHO) detected her selling a phony vaccination card to those who refused to get vaccinated against coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to the report.

According to the Market Guard, he observed the lady selling a phony vaccination card while patrolling the Old Public Market and detained her right away. The market guard looked for the suspect’s vaccination card, but all she found were four blank vaccination cards with the CHO employees’ complete names and signatures, vaccine brands, and vaccination dates.
